And just like that, summer is over and September is upon us!! It’s crazy to believe we are ALREADY in September, and just how fast the summer has gone. Apart from my recent adventures in Toronto, I’ve also spent a lot of the summer enjoying the Okanagan. Wine-tasting, adventuring, soaking up the summer sun. It was a pretty exceptional summer and I’m glad I had the chance to enjoy it while it lasted.

Before we say goodbye to summer, I had the chance to do one last trip to Vancouver to wrap up the season. I’m so glad I got the chance for one more getaway, and had the opportunity to reconnect with friends. I spent my time in the city enjoying brunch, dinner, shopping with friends, and re-connecting. I had brunch at Chewies Oyster Bar in Kitsilano and Caffe Barneys on Granville, both of which were delicious options. The highlight however was definitely dinner at Di Beppe in Gastown – the pasta and wine were to die for! Plus, you can’t go wrong with the tiramisu. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in Vancouver. It has gone to the top of my list for favorite restaurants in Vancouver and I will definitely be back again! Having the chance to enjoy a glass of wine and re-connect with friends was much needed, and was the perfect end to the season.

Since then, I’ve made another big move: I’ve officially moved to Kelowna! Or should I say, officially moved back! If you’ve been following my blog posts over the past little while during the pandemic, you know that I’ve been unofficially living in the Okanagan for the past little while. I made the decision to move to Kelowna recently for the next year and a bit, and I moved in to my new place a few weeks ago. It was definitely a big step for me but it feels like a step in the right direction. I previously lived in Kelowna back in 2017, so it has been quite some time since I’ve lived here, and it will definitely be a transition to adjust to living here again. But it’s a transition I am ready to meet head on. I am looking forward to this next phase of life and getting to know my new home!

As we are gearing up to head into the fall, I am looking forward to everything this season is going to bring. September is one of my favorite months of the year as it’s a great time to reset, re-align, and move forward into the next few months. Plus, fall is my favorite season – the changing leaves and seasons hold the promise of something new. Our busy season for work is coming up as well, and though the majority of my work will continue to be virtual, it’s still something I am looking forward to. Over the next few months I’ll be re-adjusting to my new place and new city – and looking for new places to explore, adventure, enjoy. Tell me: how do you cope with the change in seasons?
