Summer has been a wild time so far! After enjoying the Toronto Flower Market and Kelso Lavender Farm with my friend, my mom came for a visit to spend some time together in Toronto. We got the chance to spend a bunch of time exploring all around the city! Read on for more of my recent adventures exploring within Toronto and The County in Ontario.

Our adventures started with visiting some more touristy spots in the city like Nathan Philipps Square, Yonge-Dundas Square, and Eaton Centre. My mom really wanted to visit the ROM, and it had been so long since Iād seen it as well – so we decided to check it out, which was a blast! My favourite part was learning more about wildlife and the impacts of climate change around the world. Afterwards, we wandered around Yorkville and stumbled upon a gorgeous Italian restaurant with a patio! We decided to have a snack and some spritz. Our day finished with some delicious food at Ramen Isshin, and then we watched the sunset.

We visited some awesome markets the next day, including the St. Lawrence Market and the Distillery District! I really enjoyed checking out these more historic areas in Toronto. We purchased some great snacks at St. Lawrence and enjoyed some delicious Mexican at El Catrin. In the afternoon we journeyed out to The Beaches to get in our nature fix, and spent some time walking the boardwalk. Our dinner was at Nodo Restaurant in Leslieville, and I have to say, it was AMAZING! I had literally the best pasta of my life and the pizza was also incredible. Highly, highly recommend checking out one of their locations in Toronto for dinner!

Enjoying a morning coffee at Found Coffee and a stroll in Trinity Bellwoods was the perfect start for our next day. Later on, we explored Kensington Market and then the Ossington strip. There were so many different drinks and snacks to enjoy along the way! I loved checking out the different bars and restaurants. Paris Paris was very cool, and we had some appetizers at Mamakas Tavernas – where I had the BEST spanakopita Iāve ever had! Truly amazing, and I canāt wait to go back again.

On our last day we did some brunchinā at Mildredās Temple Kitchen, then headed right downtown to check out the CN Tower! I know itās a super touristy thing to do, but it was actually really fun. I had been up the tower previously but hadnāt been up it since Iāve moved to Toronto this past year, so I was excited to check it out! We got a ton of great photos and I enjoyed the sites from above. Afterwards, we explored along Queen St and stopped in at On Third Thought, a gelato and wine tasting bar! They actually pair their incredible gelato with different wines. It was SO cool and all of the pairings were delicious.

This past weekend, I took a brief camping trip out to Prince Edward County. I had an incredible time checking out wine country, the farmlands, and the beaches! I visited a few wineries in the Wellington area of the county, and made sure to swing by Closson Chase, perhaps one of the most Instagram-famous spots with their gorgeous purple barn! Tastings on the patio was super fun, but I have to say, my personal favourite was visiting Hinterland Wine Company where they specialize in sparkling wines. Their sparkling rose is dangerously delicious and I had to grab a bottle!

I camped at Sandbanks and got to check out the gorgeous Outlet Beach – the waters were clear and the sand on the beach was SO soft. Highly recommend visiting this beach if you’re in the county! On my route back, I went through Picton, which has a super cute downtown featuring tons of cafes and restaurants. My time in the county was wayyy too short, but I’m glad I had the chance to explore it while I could. If you’re looking for a short getaway from the city of Toronto, Prince Edward County is an amazing option!

Once I got back to Toronto, I jumped right in to joining some friends at a Jays Game! The best time to enjoy a game is during the summer, and Iām so glad I was able to do so with some friends. It feels like the rest of the summer will be slipping by so quickly, and Iām doing my best to enjoy every moment! How are you making the best of summer? Let me know in the comments š
